Tottenham v Chelsea Predictions

Tottenham Hotspur are hoping to cling onto a top four finish this season despite some problems occurring off the field. With the club failing to bring in any players during the summer transfer window and the long-awaited move into the club’s new state of the art stadium continuing to be delayed, supporters are perhaps understandably growing a little tetchy but they can’t be too disappointed with how things are going in the Premier League at least.

Although the Lilywhites look set to be knocked out of the Champions League in the group stages, they remain in fourth place in the table above the likes of Arsenal and Manchester United and they come into this weekend’s London derby on the back of a four game winning streak in all competitions. After finally breaking the hoodoo of beating Chelsea away from home last season, can they beat them at Wembley this weekend at 33/20 with Coral?

Chelsea have quickly gotten to grips with the distinctive playing style of manager Maurizio Sarri after he joined the club in the summer from Napoli. After a disappointing attempt to defend the title from Antonio Conte, the Blues decided to replace one Italian boss with another and despite many pundits surmising that it would take some time for the team to get used to the new coach’s methods, it’s been a very strong start to the campaign for them.

As things stand, the Blues sit in third place but remain unbeaten in the Premier League so far. It may help that with only the Europa League to compete in on a continental stage, Sarri is able to rotate healthily and keep his players fit and firing, but they have continually delivered so far this term, although they will have expected more than a point from their last outing against Everton before the international break. You can back the away win at 8/5 with William Hill.

Tottenham v Chelsea betting tips

We’re backing goals in this game. Five of the last six meetings between these two London rivals have seen three or more goals scored and when you consider the attacking talent that will be on display at Wembley it makes sense to back the same again here at 3/4 with Unibet. The hosts can call upon the Premier League’s most prolific striker over the last three seasons in Harry Kane but the visitors possess the likes of Alvaro Morata and Eden Hazard.

That man Hazard has been more dangerous in front of goal than usual so far this season, finding the net seven times in the Premier League already in this campaign. We don’t see the Lilywhites managing to keep a clean sheet in this game and the Belgian is certainly the biggest threat the Blues possess and he found the net in his last Premier League away game, the win over Southampton. We’re on odds of 9/5 for him to score at any time, available with BlackType.
