Ghanaian actor Abass Nurudeen also known as Blinks, was on Wednesday November 7th, 2018 stabbed to death in Kumasi.
The Police has since arrested one Tijani as prime suspect who is believed to have killed the kumawood actor.
While Blinkz was very popular among lovers of Kumawood movies, a greater number of Ghanaians didn’t know him. As we always do at Asembi.com, we bring to you some shocking things you probably didn’t know about Abass Nurudeen.
Before landing the nickname Blinkz, Abass was called Junior Mafia and spent most of his time at Race Course, Kumasi.
Abass grabbed a role in a kumawood movies when producers in Kumasi began shooting ‘Rambo’ and ‘Van Damme’ kind of movies. He gained prominence immediately after playing an action role in the movie Abuburo Kosua, produced by Kingdom Media House.
Abass is said to have transformed from a Junior Mafia to a serious movie actor by name Blinkz.
Abass took advantage of the movie industry to become a Makeup Artist and Set Designer.
Asembi.com gathers that, the late Blinkz on several occasions chewed Razor Blades and drunk water on top. Asembi.com however did not establish if Blinks had powers, dwarfs or was chewing those blades for real.
Another information we gathered show that, the late actor had always resisted ‘camera beats’ and acted for real. A source told Asembi.com that Abass was capable of jumping from the top of a Two-storey building to save movie editors from the stress of editing. “Whatever action you see Abass act, it’s real, no editing”, the source said.
In fact, Ghana has lost a Spiderman. Colleague actor Kwaku Manu blamed the death of Abass on the collapse of the movie industry and this seems true. His unparalleled talent would have kept him busy on set just as it was in the days of Agya Koo.
Abass Nurudeen was 35.
