A group of Chelsea supporters had an opportunity to watch their heroes train at Cobham on the morning following The Blues’ victory over Sheffield Wednesday. Some fans gazed the players getting ready for the trip to Bournemouth and got a chance to meet them afterwards for autographs and pictures.
Telamsile Dlamini, a personal fan of N’Golo Kante was among those lucky supporters to spend some time with our lads. The life-long Blue was invited to Cobham by the Willow Foundation which helps seriously ill young adults to fulfil their dreams.
Not only did N’Golo Kante take a photo with a fan but the Frenchman also surprised Telamsile with a signed shirt. Apparently, she was over the moon: “Today was very special because I got to meet my favourite football player, N’Golo Kante. It was just wonderful and I’m pretty sure my siblings enjoyed it just as much as I did. It’s been truly amazing!”
Commenting on the meeting with the fans, Ruben Loftus-Cheek said: It’s great to take some time out and give back to the community – it’s very important to make sure we do these things. You just have to look at the smiles on the children’s face to see how much it means to them.
I enjoy these opportunities to give back as do the rest of the squad – it’s important we give these moments to our supporters and also to those who may need that little bit of a boost during a difficult time.”
