The senator representing Kaduna central at the Senate, Shehu Sani, has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for being honest in his analysis of the situation of the country.
Legit.ng reports that the lawmaker, who made this known in a tweet, on Saturday, December 15, said that the president has displayed high level of honesty for admitting that the economy he manages is in bad shape.
He said that he did not know any president in the history of the world who would be courageous to make such statement two months before the general elections.
“Prez Buhari admitting that the economy he manages is in bad shape is an act of honesty and courage to tell the truth. Many will lie for votes.I don’t know of any President in history or anywhere around the world who will make this kind of statement 2 months to general elections”, he said.
Meanwhile, Legit.ng had previously reported that Senator Shehu Sani representing Kaduna central in the upper house of legislature questioned why some supporters of President Muhammadu Buhari were displeased with ex-president Olusegun Obasanjo for criticising the current administration.
Sani in a tweet on Monday, December 10, said those angry with Obasanjo’s criticism of Buhari were not displeased with the former president when he faulted other past leaders.
The senator suggested that Obasanjo could criticise anyone and that people should be ready for criticism from the president.
