Meet Ghana’s ‘Usain Bolt’ discovered in Inter Schools competition

There’s a record in Adiembra Senior High School which stood for 3 good years. One Idrissu Musah was able to complete the 100m race in 10.52seconds.

However, just today, the record of 3 years was broken by one Hamidu Baba.

He was able to complete a 100m race in 10.47seconds shuttering the old record by 0.05sec.

Hamidu’s performance got spectators at the Sekondi Sports Stadium on their feet.

Hamidu Baba was in his full spirit, announced himself via the heats of his sheer determination to leave a mark.

The first year Visual Art student adds to the potential 100m upcoming athletes the country can count on in the near future and he’s touted as the next possible Usain Bolt of our dear nation.

Augustine Sam of Adiembra Senior High School came second with a time of 10.87secs and Desmond Nelson of Fijai Senior High School came second with a time of 10.89secs.
