The latest way of finding love now in Ghana is going on National Television. A new program launched on TV3 dubbed Date Rush seeks to give chance to singles to find fellow singles so they can mingle.
Well, even though many find it thrilling and entertaining, Counsellor George Luterodt thinks it is glorified prostitution.
He said people should be able to have a different way to vet people apart from a live television programme.
To him, “you meet a guy on TV and they give you the things you can ask the guy, … all of a sudden on TV you ask the guy and he says I like you, what are the things you know about the person?”
“I think that it is prostitution glorified if you ask me. That we are glorifying prostitution but using other mediums to invite people to practice ‘ashawo in disguise,’ he said.
