July 6 marked exactly four (4) years since musician Castro and his alleged girlfriend Janet Bandu disappeared mysteriously after going for a fun out with Blackstars captain Asamoah Gyan and some friends at Aqua Safari in Ada.
Since the incident happened there have been conflicting reports as to whether the musician is still alive or died alongside Janet Bandu who joined him on the Jet Ski at Ada towards the estuary on the said date.
While a section of Ghanaians believe Castro is dead, most musicians and music lovers and fans are with high hopes that one day Castro will return for good and Ghanaian rapper Dadie Opanka is one of them.
According to Dadie Opanka, he believes Castro is alive and has forgotten it has been four years since he disappeared while jet skiing.
“Funny enough, could you believe that I’ve forgotten that it’s been four years now since his [Castro’s] disappearance. It was this morning that I came across it when I was checking something on YouTube, I’ve even forgotten that it’s been four years now because it’s been a long time now,” he said on Class FM.
In his assertion, he would hardly believe that Castro is dead because no one has proven that he is and noted that he believes Castro will return someday.
“I have faith that Castro will return; as long as we haven’t found a body, we haven’t found him dead, I think there’s a possibility that Castro might come back, and also, God is not done with his miracle works, it’s been four years now but l believe that by God’s will, we’ll find him,” he stated.
“I don’t want to accept that Castro is dead, by God’s will, if only he is alive, surely, God will bring him out, but if he is dead, it’s my prayer that God keeps him but I still have the faith that he’s not dead as I haven’t seen his body and no one has also proven that he’s dead,” he added.
